Архив хранит документы более 400 научно-исследовательских и конструкторских организаций, научно-технических обществ и высших учебных заведений Санкт-Петербурга. Кроме фондов организаций и учреждений в Архиве находятся личные фонды и коллекции документов знаменитых ученых, архитекторов и конструкторов.
